development and integrated horticultural developmental program
aimed at improving the lot of the poor and marginal farmers along with
efforts to improve the quality of life of youth through sports and cultural
activism.

Work Interest
Shri Samir Bhujbal has been involved in implementing modern farming
practices in the rural areas of Nashik district. Besides modernizing the
operations at the family farms, he has been actively propagating use of
scientific technology along with modern tools and practices in the region. His
keen interest in the collection and preservation of exotic flora has motivated
number of farmers in the region who are emulating his approach.
Being a social activist, he is concerned with collection and treatment of bio
waste. He has also access to large number of rural networks who form the
bio-energy resource base. As a pragmatic farmer he is committed to efficient
utilization of bio waste for energy production, which is the only solution both
for rural and urban areas. The location of the project for generating energy
from the bio waste is only a logical extension of this commitment for
enhancing productivity of the rural areas by generation of revenue from
waste.
Through his first hand knowledge of civil engineering technology, he plays a
major role in physical development of MET projects including the
development of a mega educational complex at MET Bhujbal Knowledge
City at Nashik.
